Apple Music's Classic Application Now Includes Booklets

The streaming platform has joined the exclusive club of services truly adapted to classical repertoires.

Until now, few platforms have offered music lovers the chance to consult the librettos of record releases. This was the case, for example, on Qobuz and Presto Music, which was an advantage for these French and British services. This will now also be the case on Apple's classical music application. The Apple brand has announced that it has added more than 50,000 booklets, accessible via a small button representing an open book in the top right corner of the album page.

These booklets mainly feature recent recordings for which this sound “accompaniment” already existed in digital form, primarily albums released from the 2000s onward. Listeners will now be able to find presentation notes, vocal texts, and other information that is sometimes difficult to locate outside the physical medium (such as exact recording dates and locations, precise cast, or detailed orchestral composition) in PDF format, which can be consulted directly in the application. However, this is only possible if the labels and record companies have supplied the necessary material, which is unfortunately not always the case.
