Horn Professor William VerMeulen Forced to Retire

Rice University's Shepherd School of Music has abruptly retired horn professor William VerMeulen or Bill VerMeulen, citing recent social media posts of private images. The university stated they are investigating allegations of misconduct and emphasized a zero-tolerance policy for sexual harassment. VerMeulen, also suspended from his role as principal horn of the Houston Symphony, had his private images circulated online by a feminist activist. These images, from seven years ago and shared within a relationship, were later used as revenge porn.
