Netrebko Ticket Rush Crashes Bonn Theatre Website
Netrebko’s Bonn appearances spark exceptional demand.
Both of Anna Netrebko’s forthcoming guest appearances at Bonn Opera have sold out after a surge in bookings temporarily brought down the theatre’s website.
Tickets for La Bohème on January 10, 2027, were exhausted on the opening day of general sales. The performance of Nabucco on November 6, 2026, sold out within approximately 48 hours.
The theatre said its server failed under heavy traffic when general booking opened on Monday. Demand also extended to in-person sales, with queues forming early outside its central Bonn box office and the Schauspielhaus in Bad Godesberg.
Most ticket buyers came from Bonn and the surrounding region, according to the theatre’s sales data. However, the performances also attracted international interest, with commercial director Nico Heinrich reporting orders from the United States.
