Russians Want To Attend More Concerts In Their Cities

According to a VTB survey, one in three Russians attends cultural events twice a year, with concerts being the most popular. Acceptable spending on cultural entertainment ranges from 1,000 to 2,000 rubles.
Survey results indicate that 31% of respondents attend cultural events every six months, 27% every 2-3 months, 15% several times a month, and 2% several times a week. About 24% never attend cultural events. Satisfaction with local cultural offerings is highest in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region (62%), while opinions in other regions are split. The Southern Federal District has the highest demand for more cultural events (42%).
Respondents desire more concerts, festivals, and exhibitions, with concerts being the top choice (57%), followed by city festivals (47%) and exhibitions (40%). In Siberia, exhibitions and museums are particularly popular.
Regarding spending, 28% are willing to pay 1,000-2,000 rubles, 26% are ready to spend 500-1,000 rubles, and 23% are willing to pay 2,000-5,000 rubles. Only 7% would spend over 5,000 rubles.
Less than half of respondents (49%) plan cultural activities in advance, with 28% planning 1-2 weeks ahead and 21% a month or more in advance. Among those attending concerts, theatres, and museums, over a third prepare by reading reviews (26%), studying biographies and works (12%), or booking excursions (14%).
