Ballet Star Vladimir Shklyarov Dies in Tragic Balcony Fall

Renowned ballet dancer Vladimir Shklyarov, 39, has died after a fall from a fifth-floor balcony in St. Petersburg. Prima ballerina Irina Bartnowskaja stated he lost balance while smoking on a narrow balcony. Colleagues revealed Shklyarov had been struggling with severe pain, private challenges, and a midlife crisis, exacerbated by age, personal relationships, and career uncertainty.

A celebrated soloist at the Mariinsky Theater and a guest star in Munich, Shklyarov was admired for his roles, including Spartacus and The Young Man and Death.
