At 93, Alfred Brendel remains active in the music world. The renowned Austrian pianist, who ended his concert career in 2008, continues to share his knowledge with both the public and emerging artists.

Brendel values dialogue with young performers, saying, "It is essential to know new ones and share in-depth work on masterpieces, combining fidelity to the text with inspiration in front of an audience."

At the Chamber Music Festival ‘Trame Sonore’ in Mantua, Brendel participated in a masterclass and attended numerous concerts. He praised the festival's unique combination of spaces, sounds, vision, and emotion, calling it a "kaleidoscope" that he looks forward to each year.

Reflecting on changes in the music world, Brendel highlighted the rediscovery of composers like Schubert, Liszt, and Busoni, and the revival of Handel due to advances in vocal technique. He also appreciated the increased focus on diverse cultures and backgrounds, mentioning American violinist Tai Murray as an example of the talent now embraced by classical music.
