Gürzenich Orchestra announces replacement for GMD who took a break due to sexual harassment
Because Cologne's General Music Director François-Xavier Roth has suspended his activities due to allegations of sexual harassment and while the investigation is ongoing, the Gürzenich Orchestra is having the concert projects planned with the Frenchman performed by guest conductors until further notice.

Roth will be replaced by Titus Engel at the Melting Pot concert on 15 June. Mariano Chiacchiarini will conduct the Kölner Bürgerorchester concert on 29 June at 8 pm in the Kölner Philharmonie.
The planned special concert Infinity on 4 July will be conducted by Karajan Prize winner Oscar Jockel.
