Jonathan Nott will step down as Music and Artistic Director of the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande at the end of the 2025-26 season

Jonathan Nott will step down as Music and Artistic Director of the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande at the end of the 2025-26 season, marking the conclusion of his tenure in 2026. He has held the position since 2017, having first conducted the orchestra as a guest in 2014.
From 2014 to 2024, Nott served as Principal Conductor of the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie and founded the Gustav Mahler Conducting Competition, dedicated to fostering the next generation of leading conductors.
Since 2012, he has also been the Music Director of the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra.
