Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Foundation Approves 2023 Budget with £6.3 Million Profit

The Steering Committee of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Foundation has unanimously approved the 2023 financial statements, reporting a profit of over £6.3 million. This positive outcome was made possible by extraordinary contributions from founding partners, including the Ministry of Culture, the Municipality of Florence, the Region of Tuscany, the Metropolitan City, and private partners Fondazione CR Firenze and Intesa Sanpaolo. These contributions helped restore the Foundation's assets, which had been eroded by losses in 2022.

The Board appreciated the financial result and noted the substantial reorganisation of the Foundation, which sets the stage for its definitive relaunch and newfound solidity. The Board also recommended maintaining attention to the economic and financial balance of the management.

The meeting was attended by the new Mayor of Florence and President of the Foundation, Sara Funaro, who extended her greetings to the Board members, Auditors, and Superintendent Carlo Fuortes.
