Valery Gergiev failed to arrive on time for the Moscow Easter Music Festival due to snowfall

On May 4, the Moscow Easter Music Festival was held at the Perm Philharmonic Hall. The Mariinsky Theater and the Bolshoi Theater Symphony Orchestra participated. Valery Gergiev, Director of both the theaters, has been conducting the Moscow Easter Festival since 2002.
The festival was originally scheduled to start at 4 p.m., but plans had to be adjusted due to heavy snow and musicians being stranded on the road. Perm Philharmonic Hall reported: “Due to unfavorable weather conditions, we are forced to announce the postponement of the concert, with a tentative start time of 7 p.m.”.
