The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra's 20th Summer Night Concert will take place on Friday, 7 June 2024, in the baroque park of Schönbrunn Palace. Broadcast live on ORF 2 from 9.20 pm and shown in over 80 countries, this event is a highlight for the Philharmonic and host broadcaster ORF. Conducted by Andris Nelsons for the second time, the concert will feature Norwegian soprano Lise Davidsen performing arias from Wagner's ‘Tannhäuser’ and Verdi's ‘La forza del destino’.

The program includes works by Wagner, Verdi, Smetana, Holmes, Shostakovich, and Khachaturian, with notable pieces like Smetana's ‘Die Moldau’ and Khachaturian's ‘Sabre Dance’. The traditional finale will be Johann Strauss’s ‘Wiener Blut’. Teresa Vogl will comment on the ORF broadcast, directed by Henning Kasten.
