Almost a fifth of Russians buy tickets for entertainment on online aggregators

A GfK survey found that 53% of urban Russians regularly attend entertainment events, up from 50% in 2022.

A GfK survey found that 53% of urban Russians regularly attend entertainment events, up from 50% in 2022. Online ticket purchases via aggregators rose from 11% to 19% over two years. Theater attendance increased from 15% to 20%, classical events from 11% to 15%, concerts from 17% to 21%, cinema from 41% to 45%, and musicals saw the biggest rise, from 8% to 13%.

Yandex Afisha leads the ticketing market with 25% of users, followed by Afisha.ru (15%), Kassir.ru (13%), T-Bank Afisha (8%), and Kassy.ru (5%). In Q3 2024, Yandex Afisha’s ticket sales grew 45% to 6.2 billion rubles, with total tickets sold reaching 3.9 million, an 11% year-on-year increase.
