Minister of State for Culture Claudia Roth met pupils and KulturPass providers in Leipzig today to review the KulturPass program. She stated:

"After over a year, the KulturPass clearly works. It encourages young people to engage with culture and strengthens the cultural sector by attracting future audiences."

Since June 2023, over 330,000 young people in Germany have used the KulturPass, acquiring over 850,000 books, making nearly 480,000 cinema visits, attending around 160,000 concerts and theater performances, and visiting over 11,000 museums and parks.

In Saxony, nearly 13,000 youths have used the KulturPass, participating in over 70,000 cultural events and spending 1.5 million euros. They bought over 37,000 books, made over 22,000 cinema visits, and attended over 8,000 concerts and theater performances.

In Leipzig, over 2,000 young people have utilized the KulturPass, engaging in over 20,000 cultural activities worth more than 475,000 euros (404,210 pounds).
