Opera Philadelphia is reintroducing its popular “Pick Your Price” initiative for the 2025/2026 season, allowing patrons to choose tickets starting at just $11 for any seat in the house. The initiative aims to make opera more accessible to a wider audience.

Under the leadership of General Director and President Anthony Roth Costanzo, Opera Philadelphia will offer 18 performances across multiple venues, including the Academy of Music, the Perelman Theater, and the Miller Theater. The upcoming season will feature a wide range of productions, from classic Rossini operas to world premieres.

The “Pick Your Price” model has been a success in the past, with tickets selling out in less than two weeks. Costanzo noted that Opera Philadelphia is currently the only sold-out opera company in America, attributing much of its success to the popularity of the program.

In celebration of the company’s 50th anniversary, Opera Philadelphia encourages families to attend together. Costanzo humorously added that $11 tickets are cheaper than hiring a babysitter, making it easier for parents to bring their children to experience opera.

Meanwhile, Philadelphia Theatre Week is also underway, offering pay-what-you-can deals at theatres across the region, making it an excellent time for audiences to experience a variety of performances at accessible prices.
