Renovation of Art Schools in Russia Continues

Over the past year, approximately 90 children’s art schools across Russia have undergone renovation or major repairs. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin presented this data in his government report to the State Duma. He stated, “Young people need opportunities to explore artistic creativity, and we pay special attention to budding talents. A total of 90 children’s art schools in 71 federal subjects have been renovated or fully reconstructed, currently providing education to 40,000 gifted students.”

Russian Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova previously announced that this year, more than 20 children’s art schools will undergo modernization under the framework of a national project. Additionally, over 300 schools and academies will receive new musical instruments, equipment, and teaching materials. A significant new initiative of this project includes the renovation and upgrading of regional philharmonic halls.
