Ivan Nikiforchin and the "Academy of Russian Music" performed at the BRICS summit

On October 22, 2024, the Academy of Russian Music, conducted by Ivan Nikiforchin, performed at a gala concert for BRICS leaders during the 16th BRICS summit in Kazan. This was the first joint event for the heads of the delegations.

The orchestra played Mark Fradkin's "As Volga Flows" and a medley titled "BRICS Magic Music," inspired by the cultures of the participating countries, concluding with the Russian folk song "Kalinka."

Nikiforchin expressed that performing for heads of state was a significant honor and a representation of the young generation of Russian musical culture. The summit runs from October 22-24, 2024.
