Salle Gaveau has recently been acquired by producer Jean-Marc Dumontet, a prominent figure in private theater known for successful shows and managing multiple Parisian venues. Dumontet purchased the venue for approximately 8 million euros ( £6.6 million), while the current owners, Chantal and Jean-Marie Fournier, retain ownership of the building.

In an interview, Dumontet outlined his vision for the venue, aiming to refresh its image while maintaining its classical music heritage. He plans to introduce acoustic concerts featuring headliners, humor events, and even a restaurant, although he emphasizes that the restaurant's purpose is to enhance Gaveau's image rather than generate profit. Dumontet reassured classical music fans that the venue's traditional repertoire would still be a priority.

The next season's programming will be revealed in early 2025, with potential adjustments to the current season to boost attendance. Dumontet acknowledges the financial challenges ahead, as he aims for Gaveau to become self-sustaining within two years.
