Trump Signs Executive Order to Crack Down on Ticket Scalping, Backed by Kid Rock

Donald Trump, joined by musician Kid Rock, signed a new executive order aimed at stopping ticket scalping and hidden fees in concert ticket sales. The order directs the Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Justice to enforce the Better Online Ticket Sales (BOTS) Act, originally passed in 2016, more aggressively.
Trump stated, “It’s time to give regular fans a fair shot at buying tickets at face value, not inflated prices set by scalpers and bots.”
Kid Rock, speaking at the signing event, said, “When I try to keep my ticket prices at $50, these bots scoop them up and flip them for hundreds. This order is about taking music back for the people.”
The order also addresses price transparency, requiring that ticketing platforms disclose all fees upfront. The goal is a fairer, more transparent ticket-buying experience for consumers.
